Group or private Spanish tuition

At Cardiff Spanish Academy we often receive enquiries from adult learners who have taken part in Spanish courses, perhaps after work or at the weekends, but then decided to give it up for various reasons. At Cardiff Spanish Academy we like to take these reasons into consideration and ensure that we provide a unique and customized service. Take a peak at these common motives for giving up group classes and the ways in which we stand out from the rest!

Little or no individualised attention
It is needless to say that in a group class there isn’t as much one-on-one attention. The teacher tries desperately to split his/her attention between many students and it is near impossible to focus on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual. Thus, at Cardiff Spanish Academy we insist on providing quality one-on-one teaching that focuses on the specific strengths and weaknesses as well as the objectives and deadlines of each student, whether it is for school, leisure or work.

Inflexible timetables
In the majority of group classes, the class is set at the same time and day every week and if you aren’t able to make it for whatever the reason, whether for illness, work meetings, unexpected child-related errands or travel, you are unlikely to be able to make the class up. You’ll waste your fees and you’ll fall behind in class. On the contrary, at Cardiff Spanish Academy we work with your availability. We offer classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, during the week and at the weekends and we are always willing to adjust to your busy lifestyles. Better yet, if you can’t make a class, just give us a call with 48 hours notice and you can reschedule it for another day, meaning you don’t lose the class and more importantly, you won’t fall behind!

Not enough conversation or listening
Last, but certainly not least, is the fact that many students feel that adult group classes are very concentrated on grammar, reading and writing and hence they lack conversation and listening practice. This may be partly due to the structure of the course, but also due to the fact that if there are 5, 10, 15+ people in one class, the amount of speaking time per person is minimal. Thus, at Cardiff Spanish Academy we love to boast about our private lessons, which are flexible, accommodating, and as a result they can easily be focused on speaking and listening.

So look no further….
If you are currently participating in-group classes, you may feel that you are simply lacking a good chat in Spanish, maybe you need some more flexibility or you may be searching for some classes that are truly tailored to your specific needs and objectives. If this is the case – look no further – just give us a call and we’d be delighted to assist you along your Spanish-learning path, starting out with a completely free and no strings attached assessment class! What’s there to lose?!
