Who are children’s French classes suitable for?
We teach children of various ages, from 5 years upwards. Most children are taught on a one-to-one basis although we do also have pupils who learn with siblings or friends. Classes are interactive, engaging and fun yet children still learn French and enjoy what they are being taught in a safe, relaxed environment.
What’s covered in the classes?
We’ll look at covering topics such as numbers, colours, age, family, school, sports, food and drink, free time, going on holiday and so forth. We also incorporate French culture into our lessons, such as traditions and customs, regional foods, schools, travelling and the different regions of French speaking countries. Students will learn and celebrate French and international holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween and French festivals.
What materials and resources are used?
We use lots of different resources and materials to engage with children, such as maps, colour charts, music, flash cards, jigsaws, puzzles, flap books and so much more. After children have had lessons for a few months, we will then progress onto children’s French textbooks. Learning French can be very interactive so we encourage the use of listening and visual materials to speed up progress.
What Child Protection Policies and Checks are in place?
All tutors are DBS checked and we adhere to strict Child Protection and Safeguarding Children Policies.
